RADIANT NUCLEAR

Producing a compact nuclear reactor with all equipment necessary to generate electricity in a mass producible and easily transportable package.  This will replace diesel generators in remote villages and providing resilient backup power for hospitals, data centers, and military installations.  Using meltdown-proof TRISO fuel, ceramic coated uranium particles, which have been used in more than 30 grid-scale reactors since the 1960s

Recent News & Awards:

​

* August 2025: Signed a first-of-its-kind agreement with the Air Force's Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to deliver the first mass-produced nuclear microreactor to a US military base. Radiant is now a supplier to the military as a first customer.

 

* Closed a $165 million Series C, adding a $65 million C-2 to their initial $100 million for a 1.5x step-up from investment in the Series C-1 in Nov-24

* July, 2025: U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) unveils the names of 10 companies selected for the Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program - Radiant is on the list!

*  April, 2025: Radiant is one of eight technology developers selected and now eligible to seek funding as part of the "Advanced Nuclear Power for Installations Program" to provide fixed on-site microreactors at military installations "to support global operations across land, air, sea, space and cyberspace".

​

*  April, 2025: Officially accepted its selection by DOE as a recipient of high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) fuel for the first test of Kaleidos.

​​​

* Projected 2026 - Kaleidos will be the first new commercial reactor design to achieve a fueled test in over 50 years. This is queued up at the DOME at the Idaho National Lab
